Rapidly Quenched Kosterlitz-Thouless Superfluid Transitions
Rapidly quenched Kosterlitz-Thouless (KT) superfluid transitions are studied by solving the Fokker-Planck equation for the vortex-pair dynamics in conjunction with the KT recursion relations. Power-law decays of the vortex density at long times are found, and the results are in agreement with a scaling proposal made by Minnhagen and co-workers for the dynamical critical exponent. The superfluid...
متن کاملMagnetic and Structural Properties of Rapidly Quenched Tetragonal Mn Ga Nanostructures
Nanostructured Mn Ga ribbons with and 1.1 were prepared using arc-melting, melt-spinning and annealing. As-spun samples crystallized into hexagonal and cubic Heusler crystal structures based on the concentration of Mn in Mn Ga. Upon vacuum-annealing the samples at 450 C for about 50 hours, both the hexagonal and cubic structures transformed into a tetragonal structure. High-temperature x-ray di...
متن کاملEffect of Sm content on energy product of rapidly quenched and oriented SmCo5 ribbons
The Sm-content dependence of phase composition, anisotropy, and other magnetic properties of Sm1+δCo5 (δ ≤ 0.12) ribbons melt spun at 10 m/s has been studied. The samples consist of hexagonal SmCo5 grains whose c axes are preferentially aligned along the long direction of the ribbon. The lattice parameter a and the cell volume (V) increase with increasing Sm content δ, whereas c decreases. Sm a...
متن کاملMagnetic and Structural Properties of Rapidly Quenched Tetragonal Mn3-x Ga Nanostructures
Ga samples could not be determined because of the structural phase transition, the Curie temperature decreased with increasing x in Mn Ga. The maximum magnetization of 57 emu/g (300 emu/cm) and the coercivity of 6.5 kOe were measured in the Mn Ga and Mn Ga ribbons, respectively.
